I'm a big believer in the phrase “a body in motion stays in motion.” I believe that cultivating a regular practice of movement - whether it's yoga, running, walking, dancing, spinning, or climbing - can lead to positive and healthy changes in your life today and for years down the road. Whether your moving meditation practice began at 8 or 88, I encourage you to explore and discover which one speaks to you, and go do it.
I fell in love with heated vinyasa yoga while living in Boston and enrolled in Back Bay Yoga Studio's 200hr RYT training. I am deeply grateful to the yoga community and my Boston-based teachers, Lynne Begier, Caitlyn Graham, and Ryan Cunningham for the inspiration and challenge (both physical and mental) they created. I have taken continuing education classes with Shiva Rea, Raghunath, Vinnie Marino, Seane Corn, and Kathryn Budig. I currently serve my community as a Headstand ambassador, a program that empowers at-risk youth in K-12 through mindfulness and yoga, and a Wellness Warrior (Project Juice).
My classes offer a welcoming and safe environment to everybody and every body -- all ages, sizes, and levels. Expect to build heat, strength, and flexibility during my thoughtful sequences that incorporate core work, alignment, and fun transitions. I love to sprinkle in arm balances and inversions as a fun and playful gateway out of your comfort zone. My hope is that attending my classes will leave you grounded, confident, and inspired to bring your yoga practice off of your mat and into the world.
